Karate International 5 of 5 Challenge
The world has changed. We have been forced to change with it. Many of us have had a difficult time finding a way to be active, even though multiple options are offered to us all. It is simply true for many, that the Online options just are not a good fit. For others of us, we intend to do something, but we just can’t seem to get started.
In the 21/90 rule, it is believed that it takes 21 days to form a new habit and 90 days to create a new lifestyle. Most of you reading this blog, had a great lifestyle and were enjoying regular martial arts classes with your friends and families. The COVID19 pandemic mandated businesses to close and people to stay home. I think all of us thought we would maintain our routine at home. From what I’ve been able to determine, for most, that did not happen.
Karate International of Raleigh tried to provide multiple options to get our students moving and focused on positive things. Still, online classes, virtual private lessons, YouTube channels and outdoor classes, did not meet the needs of all.
Well, let us try again. If you’ve been on the fence, please accept the #KI5of5Challenge. We are all going to do 5 minutes of martial arts a day, 5 days per week. We can all do this. Do this for yourself. Help your children do it for themselves. Do it with a family member if that helps. Do it in your living room or do it in a back yard. Physical Activity is the road to wellness. Take your mind off of current affairs for 5 minutes a day.
Let’s all start with 5 minutes of martial arts, 5 days a week. Look for your first challenge in your Sunday email! Our instructors will design a challenge every week for you. Everyday, look for our post on Facebook or Instagram and make a comment using our Hastag #KI5of5Challenge to let us know you did it. At the end of each week, we will send everyone who did their 5 of 5, a virtual award to post on your Social media or to print out.
We all know, the real reward, will be forming a new habit to get yourself back into a lifestyle, you once enjoyed by attending classes in our dojo. We hope we can give you those classes back soon, but until then, join our #KI5of5Challenge!
