Karate International is a chain of
karate schools, located mainly in North Carolina. Each school is individually owned and operated.
Our logo and name are trademarked in North Carolina.
Karate International is one of the
oldest martial arts organizations in the country. Karate International had
its origin in 1957 in Cleveland, Ohio, and grew to 6 schools before moving to North Carolina in 1974.
The first Karate International school to
open in North
Carolina
was located in Raleigh and still exists as a full time karate and
fitness center. Since moving to North Carolina, Karate International has grown to nearly 20
schools. We are well-known for our quality of instruction and ability to
keep students interested in the martial arts for years. Our average student
stays involved in martial arts for over 4 years, which is twice the
national norm.
The Apex branch of Karate International opened in 1995. Since it
opened, it has promoted 19 students to black belt.
